Hello Everyone,

My name is Nicole Nelson. I am a wife and mother of 2 great kids. I work for a local large animal vet in Hollister. I have been riding pretty much my whole life. The picture above of the child running poles is a picture of myself when I was 4 years old. I love the thrill of barrel racing, so I still go as much as I can. I have trained my own barrel horse for the last 7 years and they have done really well. I like taking my time and doing things right the first time.

I started giving lessons to kids and adults after helping many people fix problems with their horses or themselves or just wanting to learn how to ride a horse. I love learning new things, so I still take clinics on horsemanship, roping and barrel racing. You can always learn something new, even if you are 80 years old. So, I hope I never stop learning. If I don't know an answer or know how something is done I have a great group of people from every discipline that can advise or help you.

Some of my accomplishments are 2002 Central Coast Can Chaser Classic 3D saddle winner, 2003-2005 LEDV 1 D buckle winner, 2007 1D and 2D NBHA Dist 12 top 8, 2007 Salina Rodeo top 3 qualifying cattle sorting team for LEDV, 2008 LEDV Cattle Sorting Buckle winner.
